Indolent lymphoma is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that grows and spreads slowly. Indolent B-cell subtypes include follicular lymphoma (FL), Waldenström macroglobulinemia, small-cell lymphocytic lymphoma, lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma and marginal zone Lymphoma.

The median age at diagnosis is 60 years, and indolent B-cell lymphomas tend to have a relatively good prognosis, with longer life expectancies. However, there is the possibility that indolent disease will transform into a more aggressive phenotype. This may happen soon post-diagnosis, could take years, or not happen at all.
